Investments in technology equipment need to be protected and used to their fullest capacity. 

Implement a  secure theft prevention system and laptop distribution system via bar-coding, scan in/out and use of faculty and students

Critical data needs to be safeguarded yet

readily available to those who need to use it.

Evaluate cloud computing and backup services to assure security and redundancy.

Prepare a distaster plan 

Teaching  and  Learning 

Teachers must be prepared to provide technology-supported learning experiences

for students

Organize and expand faculty technology training and assessment.                          Provide a full day of technology during faculty workweek. 

 Create the necessary technology training documents, both video and written.

Encourage a culture of peer to peer mentoring.

Offer a Summer Institute for Technology.

Students and faculty interact by

communicating and collaborating in

diverse ways

Create a workspace  to also serve as a “technology think tank”– a space for experimentation – where new technology-enhanced projects could be developed and fine-tuned prior to being brought into the classroom. 

Use technology to support learner-centered strategies that address the diverse needs of students 

Organize a Technology Night to showcase projects and presentations across the curriculum

Provide ongoing support and training for staff in their administrative uses of technology (organization, reporting and record-keeping) 

Technology staff takes a big picture look at

Technology staff will work together to produce a video documenting the use of technology. The video is intended for admission tours, parent meetings and as a device to increase the skills of the Technology staff. 

Develop and implement more computer science offerings

Use social media to implement service learning projects
